Careerbuilder Like many large companies, Careerbuilder has offices all over the world. Access Control for these buildings was important to them, but without standardization, the ability to effectively manage the systems became overwhelming. Onepath was able to help. (full story)
“Like many companies who grow rapidly and don’t standardize early, they had a situation in which an office in Chicago may have had a completely different platform than an office in New York,” said Ray Gregory, the Onepath Project Engineer responsible for Careerbuilder. “It was causing problems with badges, access, and management of the system, and if it continued it would have become increasingly difficult to fix,” Ray continued.
As part of an organized project rollout, Onepath stepped in with a solution, and through a series of engineering investigations, determined the where, how, and when to get Careerbuilder back on track with a solution that fit. Careerbuilder has determined which sites are critical and need to be transformed first, and Onepath is providing a Lenel based solution that will allow badges to work at all locations once the transformation is complete. Additionally, the solution, when complete will allow for centralized management from the Chicago headquarters or any other site designated by Careerbuilder.
In keeping with Onepath’s approach towards efficiency, Ray and his service team assemble all of the panels in the Atlanta Onepath office, test and verify the working order, and ship the panels to the desired location. Onepath’s team of installers arrive at the site and with minimal disruption to the daily activity, install the new panel and train the local employees in its use. Several sites have been completed to date, with the most recent site being their Shanghai, China office.
“Our systems have been humming like a well oiled machine for us and Onepath’s support of the system installations has exceeded our expectations,” said the Careerbuilder executive in charge of the project,”and we look forward to working with Onepath as CareerBuilder continues to grow and upgrade their facilities.”
Onepath is a systems integrator, and is one of the few companies that has the ability and expertise to design and install multiple systems within a project. We perform this function for many of our clients, but we also install many stand alone systems as well. Examples of our project references are:
Sovereign A mixed use development consisting of 50 stories is going in Buckhead, GA and the luxurious accommodations will unrivaled in Atlanta. With residences starting on the 28th floor, occupants will have a state of the art concierge system that will allow them one touch access to Buckhead restaurants, valet service, and many other amenities upon request.
Ranging from 2500 to over 10,000 square feet, these residents will have technology like no other in Atlanta. Onepath Systems is providing the base building cabling infrastructure for the building and residential network technology. iHome Technology (a sister company of Onepath), is working with both the developer and the owners of the units to provide customized concierge, home automation, sound, and theater solutions. It is anticipated that occupants will begin moving in during the summer of 08.
Federated Department Stores Federated Department Stores are upgrading their audio visual system in thirteen of their Macy’s stores across the US. Fitting rooms in these department stores will receive an elaborate video and sound distribution system to be used for marketing and informational purposes. Onepath is responsible for various design aspects of the project, and the submittals associated with the products used. Additionally, Onepath will provide the equipment for all stores and self perform the majority of the installation, and manage hand picked installers for the remainder. Federated demands a high level of quality and responsiveness and places their trust in Onepath to provide this across all of their implementations.
Georgia School Systems Various school systems throughout the State of Georgia are upgrading their Wide Area Networks for both voice and data. E-rate funding is utilized to capture efficiency, and differ costs. Through a combination of services, Onepath has been engaged by these school systems to provide a level of quality, expertise, and timeliness to insure these projects are completed during non-student hours and over summer breaks.
On the front end of these projects, Onepath is engaged to provide the crucial entrance conduit necessary for the service provider to install their fiber for the network. Entrance projects range in size from 3 schools to 120 schools (10K-1.3M), and Onepath has the ability to provide multiple crews to complete the project within the desired timeline. On the back end of the network project, Onepath is again engaged to provide a Wide Area Network Access Control and Video Surveillance system that utilizes a small portion of the bandwidth of the school system’s network to connect each individual school on one seamless platform. This system allows for IP convergence, immediate response / viewing / lockdown to a trouble, and a point an click ease of use by the school’s designated personnel. We have used various aspects of wireless, RFID, and security controls to create systems designed to proactively uncover potential incidents, and provide the school systems with an easy to use web based interface. We have provided various levels of these services to Valdosta City Schools, Atlanta Public Schools, Fayette County Schools as well as commercial clients with a campus environment.
Best Buy Life Safety is an integral system within any facility, and Onepath provides over 100 years of combined experience in this field. Vigorous training and certifications are required to effectively design and install these systems, which is why Onepath was selected by Notifier Fire Alarm Systems to be an authorized partner, and why Onepath is the vendor of choice of many Fortune 100 companies.
Recently, Onepath was selected by Best Buy to perform the first of many deployments, for a store located in Kentucky. Onepath carefully designed a Life Safety system that would meet the requirement of State and Local codes, protect the valuable assets contained in the store, and provide assurances to their employees and customers. Our Project Engineers have designed and implemented Life Safety Systems as large as 3 million dollars, for buildings such as airports, high rises, and industrial treatment plants.
