Articles Multi-Site Security Integration and Maintenance (November 3, 2006) Onepath was recently awarded a multi year contract to maintain the integrated security systems for 51 buildings in the Atlanta, Georgia area. The contract requires that Onepath assist in the design, procurement, and installation for new Access Control and Video Surveillance systems. Additionally, Onepath will maintain the existing legacy systems, and manage the upgrade requirements to eventually convert all buildings to one integrated platform. "We’ve have several months under our belt with this contract, and we are excited about the opportunity thus far," said Bob Catanach, the Onepath Project Engineer in charge of the contract. "Our customer has had a few bad experiences with integrators in the past, and we really have a great opportunity to be part of a solution for them, and to use our experience with contracts such as these to put this one on the right track from the start." Current new projects underway include an access control system that includes approximately 360 readers, and a surveillance system with over 100 cameras. Onepath’s expertise with regards to procedures for ordering, managing, and completing these projects will allow this contract to run more efficiently than it ever has in the past. Onepath was qualified as a participant for the Request for Proposal for this contract over a 3 month period. Following this qualification process, the participants were narrowed down to 3 Companies and Onepath was selected based on Company and Personnel qualifications. Onepath will employ approximately 15 technicians and a dedicated Project Manager to fulfill this contract. | ||
