Presidential Debate (10/17/2008)

In early October, McCain and Obama held their first Presidential debate at the University of Mississippi. While we won’t say who we think won the debate, we can say that without Onepath, the Press would have had a hard time expressing their opinions to the world.

Many things had to be done to accommodate the debate at this venue, and one critical component was the implementation of the data and voice infrastructure used by the major television, newspaper, and radio networks. Led by Onepath’s Derrick Dunkin and his team of installation specialists, Onepath provided the engineering and preliminary site plan design for the network of communication. In less than a week, Derrick’s team installed well over 1400 cables, tested them and verified them ready to go for the big event. Complete well ahead of the scheduled deadline, Derrick and his team went the extra mile to insure the details had not been overlooked before returning to the Birmingham office.

During the event, Onepath provided a support team of individuals for immediate move, add or change response. After the debate, during the post debate report on the FOX News Channel, several of the Onepath team members were seen “supporting” the event by standing behind Greta Van Susteren during her live report.

“Onepath provided excellent project management and coordination of the implementation, as well as above average on site support and demolition after the event. It was a pleasure working with them.” said ATT Coordinators in charge of the event. Congratulations to Derrick and the rest of the team for a job well done.
